This is a composition by the late Bobby Brown, who died in 1993, aged 68. Bobby, a button accordionist from Perthshire, found fame as a member of Adam Rennie’s Country Dance Quartet. The Quartet’s version, recorded sometime between 1952-56, can be heard here: archive.org/details/PrimrosePolka. Our version is ever so slightly different.
